纪念

John F. Kennedy

35th President of the United States

Kennedy was the youngest man elected president and the first Catholic to hold the office. His thousand days included the Bay of Pigs failure, the Cuban missile crisis and the promise to put a man on the Moon before the decade was out.

He was shot in Dallas on 22 November 1963. His grave at Arlington is marked by an eternal flame that his widow Jacqueline lit at the funeral and that has burned since.
